Model HESP4DR is designed to help protect against lightning strikes, power surges, and other types of voltage disturbances to components on a DIN rail. Five RS-422/485 signals on terminal blocks are supported with a clamping voltage of approximately 6.8 volts. The HESP4DR offers three stages of protection starting with a gas discharge tube followed by a series resistor and finally a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS).

Model PS12VLB-INT-MED is a medical-grade, 12 VDC power supply with a locking barrel plug for secure connections. It features 100-240 VAC input voltage (47-63 Hz) and 12 VDC output. 4 kV isolation protects sensitive equipment from surges. Included international adapter blades allow connection anywhere in the USA, EU, UK or Canada.

PoE stands for Power over Ethernet, which is just what it says. Power is transmitted over the Ethernet cable along with the data lines. Each PoE switch has a set of ports that is classified as power source equipment (PSE). These ports can be used to power IEEE 802.3af compliant powered devices (PD), eliminating the need for a separate power line to be run to each end device.
