Wireless Access Points/Bridges

The AirborneM2M™ line of industrial wireless access points is built for networking equipment in an array of machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. AirborneM2M™ Access Point features industrial strength packaging and support a wide temperature rating (-40° to 85°C) to withstand challenging M2M environments. Power options include 5-36VDC input or PoE 802.3af (Power over Ethernet) on select models.

Combination Access Point and Client Capability

The AirborneM2M™ Access Point enables M2M equipment to create a self sufficient Wi-Fi network and easy access to equipment data or resources from WiFi enabled devices. The product also has the capability to be switched from an access point to a client; supporting both a single or dual RS-232/422/485 serial ports or a single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. The Ethernet port can be placed into either a router or bridge mode.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi

The AirborneM2M™ products establish wireless connections over both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Whenever the 2.4 GHz airspace is overcrowded with competing wireless transmission, AirborneM2M™ products can be switched over to 5 GHz band to keep data flowing.

Enterprise Class Security

Security protocols are important to mission critical wireless M2M applications. The AirborneM2M™ Access Point multi-layer security approach addresses the requirements of Enterprise-class networks and corporate IT departments. These advanced security features include wireless security (802.11i/WAP2 enterprise); authentication security using WPA2 (AES-CCMP) and device security (multi-layered encryption). The AirborneM2M™ access point includes a fully functional DHCP server to provide unique addresses for each authenticated client. Up to 10 clients can be supported on the local Wi-Fi network.

The EKI-6331AN is a feature rich wireless AP/Client which provides a reliable 5GHz wireless connectivity for industrial environments. The PoE injector enhances flexibility in deployment of this AP/Client even where the DC power supply is hard to fulfill. As an 802.11n compliant device, EKI-6331AN provides 6 times higher data rates than legacy 802.11a devices. With MIMO 2 x 2 technology, EKI-6331AN provides both robust wireless connectivity as well as high throughput rate in wireless transmission. With the support of WMM and IGMP snooping protocols, EKI-6331AN effectively improves the reliability of wireless connectivity, especially in applications that need high reliability and high throughput data transmission. To secure wireless connections, EKI-6331AN implements the latest encryption technologies including WPA2/WPA/802.1x for powerful security authentication.

The EKI-6333AC is a feature rich wireless AP with din-rail type design which provides a reliable wireless connectivity for industrial environments. As an 802.11n compliant device, EKI-6333AC provides 6 times higher data rates than legacy 802.11g devices.

With the support of WMM, EKI-6333AC effectively improves the reliability of wireless connectivity, especially in applications that need high reliability and high throughput data transmission. To secure wireless connections, EKI-6333AC implements the latest encryption technologies including WPA2/WPA/802.1x for powerful security authentication.

AT-AP500 Enterprise-grade wireless access points support the latest IEEE 802.11ac standard, including simultaneous transmission to multiple clients (MU-MIMO), maximizing wireless capacity and providing the best connectivity for Wi-Fi devices in high-density environments.

Key Features

• For large-scale campus-wide deployments and distributed branch offices deployments, the Enterprise-class cloud management enables centralized control, operation and administration for thousands of Access Points (APs).

IEEE 802.11ac technology

• With the IEEE 802.11ac wave 2 radio, the AT-AP500 supports up to 2.2Gbps of raw wireless capacity in the 5GHz band.
• Both radios are capable of performing spectrum analysis while simultaneously providing client access (future software release).
• 802.11ac wave 2 MU-MIMO means that the AT-AP500 can simultaneously send traffic to up to four client devices.

Multiple-SSIDs and SSID-to-VLAN mapping

• SSID enables wireless connectivity for client devices that are assigned different security policies. Mapping SSIDs to VLANs creates logical network separation, which differentiates between communication by application, functions or user communities.

Dynamic VLANs

• Dynamic VLANs allow VLANs to be dynamically assigned on a per-user (wireless client) basis. The Dynamic VLAN feature interacts with an external RADIUS server, so that user information is centralized in RADIUS for ease of management. It is not necessary to configure user information on APs.
• The AT-AP500 also supports RADIUS server redundancy, via configuration of a secondary RADIUS server.

PoE - IEEE 802.3at conformance

• The AT-AP500 conforms to the IEEE 802.3at standard. This enables simplified deployment, lower installation costs and centralized power management capabilities for critical network devices.

Mounting options

• The AT-AP500 includes a kit for easy mounting on both walls and ceilings.
