The FlexPoint 232 is a serial RS-232 to fiber media converter, automatically supporting speeds of up to 115,200 baud. Models are available with multimode or single-mode fiber port, capable of extending serial connection up to 28km.

The FlexPoint 232 supports both half-duplex and full-duplex modes of operation. It features a DTE/DCE configuration for easy connection to DTE or DCE devices using straight-through cabling. Also supports software flow control via XON and XOFF, and hardware flow control via RTS, CTS, DCD, DTR and DCR. It can be mounted stand-alone utilizing optional wall-mounting hardware. It can also be rack-mounted using a 5-unit rack-mounting shelf or in a 14-unit FlexPoint Powered Chassis.

It supports ANSI, AT&T, ITU and ETSI standards and AMI, B8ZS and HDB3 line codes. LEDs display the T1/E1 link status, diagnostic modes of operation and line segment errors. A crossover switch on the RJ45/RJ48 port makes it simple to connect the FlexPoint T1/E1 converter to DTE and DCE equipment like PBXs or CSUs and eliminates the need for crossover and custom cables to connect devices. It is equipped with dry relay contacts for connection to alarm equipment.

FlexPoint T1/E1 Copper to Fiber Media Converter can be mounted stand-alone utilizing optional wall-mounting hardware. It can also be rack-mounted using a 5-unit rack-mounting shelf or in the 14-unit FlexPoint Powered Chassis which is available with redundant 110/220V AC or 48V DC power supplies.

The FlexPoint T1/E1 is a twisted pair to fiber media converter and T1/E1 distance extender. It supports ANSI, AT&T, ITU and ETSI standards. The converter provides support for line codes such as AMI, B8ZS and HDB3. The T1/E1 line codes and line lengths are configured using easy to arrange dip switches located on the FlexPoint T1/E1 media converter.
