Catalyst 2960-L Smart Managed Switches are secure, reliable, enterprise grade switches built for small office deployments. These switches can be configured and managed via an on-box web interface allowing customers a quick and reliable way to get a small branch or office network up and running within minutes. These switches also feature limited CLI support for troubleshooting and monitoring.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series and 2960-L Smart Managed Switches are fully managed switches that offer advanced Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 features as well as Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) power. These switches deliver enhanced network security, network reliability, and operational efficiency.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960PD-8TT-L LAN Base offers integrated security, including Network Admission Control (NAC), advanced quality of service (QoS), and resiliency to deliver intelligent services for the network edge.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-S and 2960 Series Switches are the leading Layer 2 edge, providing improved ease of use, highly secure business operations, improved sustainability, and a borderless network experience. The Catalyst 2960-S Series Switches include new FlexStack switch stacking capability with 1 and 10 Gigabit connectivity, and Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) with the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches offering Fast Ethernet access connectivity and PoE capabilities. The Cisco Catalyst 2960-S and 2960 Series are fixed-configuration access switches designed for enterprise, midmarket, and branch office networks to provide lower total cost of ownership.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-X Series provides a direct replacement for each Catalyst 2960-S Series Gigabit Ethernet model, at the same price. The Catalyst 2960-X provides better architecture, features, and performance than the 2960-S, doubling the feature set.

Customers for the Catalyst 2960-SF Fast Ethernet switches should also consider moving to the 2960-X switches, which provide the features of the Catalyst 2960-SF and more, including PoE Plus (PoE+), improved IPv6 performance, and optional StackWise stacking. The 2960-X PoE models have a premium of approximately 20 to 25 percent over the 2960-SF Series.
