PCI-Express Dual Port PoE+ Adapters

Allied Telesis 2911GP Series PoE+ Network Adapters enable a PC to power a VoIP phone or other traditional copper Powered Device (PD) over a secure fiber network.

VoIP/PoE flexibility

The 2911GP Series is unique because it allows copper devices, such as VoIP phones, Wi-Fi access points and cameras, to communicate through a secured fiber network-without the additional expense of media converters or a separate network to segment the traffic, thus saving installation and maintenance costs.

AT-MUX

A small Windows-based application, AT-MUX, bridges data between the copper port, the computer, and the fiber port, allowing each interface to be prioritized and separated into a private VLAN for transportation over the fiber link.

The 2911GP Series PCI-Express (PCIe x1) design offers the maximum possible bandwidth and bus efficiency while providing the benefits of low power consumption.

The AT-2911 Series Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapters are integrated Ethernet network interface cards based on Broadcom's BCM5718 chipset with a PCI Express (PCIe) x1 version 2 interface.

The AT-2911 series adapter connects a PCIe compliant computer to a Gigabit Ethernet network. Allied Telesis offers models equipped with a single port interface or dual port interface in the AT-2911 series.
The AT-2911 adapter is equipped with single or dual fiber optic connector, copper connector, SFP slot, or a combination of these connectors.

Normal Ethernet packets are limited to a maximum size of 1548 bytes. Received packets larger than this are normally rejected by the interface card as errors. Jumbo frames support is beneficial to sending large packets, especially where the data contained in these packets either has a time-critical element, or is so large that the time taken to send multiple smaller packets is too great. Jumbo frame packets are normally up to 9000 bytes long.
