    The power of transparent USB
The ServSwitch Wizard™ USB SRX KVM Extender, single-video, from Black Box, combines VGA, USB 1.1 or USB 2.0, and audio, and sends them up to 164 feet across a single CATx cable. It's easy to fine-tune the video image on the remote unit and get crystal-clear stereo audio and transparent USB.

DDC EDID read and store support
Modern graphics adapter cards - even with analog output - require the presence of Display Data Channel (DDC) information. Without it, they output low-quality video or none at all. The ServSwitch Wizard USB SRX Extender reads the DDC information from the attached display and stores it in the local unit's non-volatile memory.

    Small form factor
The ServSwitch Wizard USB SRX KVM Extender's compact chassis enables you to mount it side by side in the Rackmount Chassis for ServSwitch KVM Extender (ACU5000A). Use it to mount up to 16 single-video units in just 2U.

    Local access
The local unit features audio and VGA feed-through, giving you local access just by plugging a keyboard and mouse directly into the spare PC USB ports.

    Dual-user configuration
With two single-video units, you can connect two workstations with keyboards, monitors, and mice to one CPU tower. Two users can use local connections to monitor and diagnose the CPU. This setup is ideal for a remote CPU that doesn't need to be monitored simultaneously by two users.

    • Rackmount local (transmitter) and remote (receiver) modules in our ACU5000A chassis for Wizard Extenders.
    • Offers transparent 56-kbps RS232 serial transmission.
    • Serial functionality is great for connecting to graphic tablets, touch screens, or PDA cradles.
    • True DDC support for optimal operation with modern graphic adapter cards.
    • Built-in skew compensation (adjustable up to 62 ns) reduces color drift and keeps images sharp.
    • Provides additional brightness and sharpness control options.

KVM and serial extension with single access.
The ServSwitch Wizard™ Extender Single-Access Serial Kit with Skew Compensation comes with a transmitter module for local CPU connections and a receiver module for remote workstation (KVM) connections, as well as an adapter cable to connect the local module to the keyboard, video, and mouse connectors on your CPU.

The kit extends PS/2® keyboard and mouse signals-along with transparent serial signals and the analog VGA signal-over a single CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 cable up to 984.2 feet (300 m). Use the serial link to connect to graphic tablets, touch screens, or PDA cradles. For applications that require a serial mouse attached to a CPU, simply add a passive adapter (contact our FREE Tech Support).

    The benefits of skew compensation.
Skew compensation fixes color drift by making up for the differences in length between wire pairs in CAT5e or CAT6 cable, and compensation is provided by a 62-ns color delay that can be adjusted in 2-ns calibrations to correct delay skew problems.

What's more, this extender also comes with the latest video components and circuitry to enable higher bandwidth and ensure even clearer images. In fact, it's now possible to get maximum resolutions of 1600 x 1200 at 60 Hz at distances of 656.1 feet (200 m) or 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz at the full distance of 984.2 feet (300 m)! This extender also provides additional brightness and sharpness control options for ultra-clear images.

Today's graphic adapter cards often require Display Data Channel (DDC) information for them to work correctly-or, in some cases, to work at all. This kit transmits an attached monitor's DDC information to its remote module. Plus this information is stored in the local module in the event of a link loss.

This extender also features password protection to prevent unauthorized access to a connected CPU or your switching system.

  • Black Box ServSwitch Wizard USB KVM Extender with Dual-Head VGA and Audio - 984.25 ft Range - WUXGA - 1920 x 1200 Maximum Video Resolution - 4 x Network (RJ-45) - 5 x USB - 6 x VGA - 110 V AC, 220 V AC Input Voltage

Put extra distance between your dual VGA monitors, USB-style peripherals, and your CPU - and set up multiscreen workstation monitoring - using the ServSwitch Wizard USB KVM Extender with Dual-Head VGA and Audio.

The extender package includes a local and a remote unit. Simply connect the local module to your PC and the remote module to the peripherals next to the user using two CATx cable runs.

The ServSwitch Wizard USB KVM Extender with Dual-Head VGA and Audio is ideal for high-density applications where you want full use of USB keyboards, mice, and other devices but there simply isn't room for a CPU nearby, or for applications where you want to keep CPUs secured and out of the way.

A built-in 4-port USB hub on the extender's remote unit enables you to attach a complete desktop remotely, including a USB keyboard and mouse, as well as a USB drive, webcam, and any other USB peripheral device you would normally plug into your computer's USB port. The extender kit supports both low- and full-speed USB 2.0 connectivity.

All communications use inexpensive CATx cable, so there's no special cabling needed to extend a USB bus from a PC to peripherals, and no USB configuration is necessary. The PC and its peripherals operate exactly as normal, the only difference being that they are now located far apart.

Extend high-quality video and audio signals
The same CAT5e or CAT6 cable link used for keyboard, mouse, and USB device extensions transmits signals for multiscreen desktops, too. This way, you can set up a remote desktop with two VGA monitors to enhance workflow productivity.

A built-in variable noise filter enables extended distances - up to 1000 feet (300 m) over CAT6 cable - for video signals. This helps overcome issues of increased gain caused by using longer cabling runs.

Multi-pole compensation helps ensure superb video quality at maximum distance over a single cable. From a keyboard at the receiver's end, you can make adjustments for cable type and cable length, and adjust color skew compensation and gain to ensure crystal clear video images.

Plus, for a truly multimedia workstation, the extender supports two-channel, 16-bit audio (sampled at 44.1 kHz). This way, you can enjoy CD-quality sound at extended distances. Just plug in speakers on the remote unit. (It also supports speakers on the audio output port of the local unit, too.)
