Seamlessly Upgrade RAID Storage

RocketRAID 3700 adapters deliver an unprecedented level of flexibility when it comes to storage configurations. Customers are free to expand or convert RAID storage configurations as needed to keep on top of the evolving demands of the storage application, without sacrificing existing data. Online Capacity Expansion (OCE) allows administrators to add new drives to existing arrays in order to expand available capacity. Online RAID Level Migration (ORLM) allows administrators to convert one RAID level to another in order to tune storage configurations for maximum performance or data security.
Arrays created with RocketRAID 3700 series adapters are future-proof; Online RAID Roaming allows customers to move existing RAID arrays to other 3700 series RAID controllers, in addition to all future HighPoint RAID products.

HighPoint's multi-HBA (host bus adapter) Non-RAID solution software packages are available for all major operating system platforms including Windows, Linux and macOS. The RocketRAID 3700 device driver enables up to four independent cards to work in unison, and effectively function as a single 64-channel 12G SAS host controller. This innovative approach to direct-attached mass storage connectivity allows customers to simplify the build process, streamline maintenance procedures, and provides dedicated SAS 12Gb/s point-to-point bandwidth for each connected device. RocketRAID 4500 HBA's are direct upgrades for our 3Gb/s RocketRAID 4300 Series Hardware RAID Controllers. HighPoint DV Mode Technology

Video professionals may find that even hardware RAID-based storage systems will experience inconsistent performance when capturing or editing high quality digital video, which can greatly impede or even cripple the post-production process. These inconsistencies are caused by standard RAID caching algorithms, which are designed for server environments rather than media applications.

HighPoint has introduced DV Mode, an innovative caching algorithm designed for the video production applications. DV Mode reorganizes I/O in order to minimize the latency time of write-back caching workflow. This innovative new technology maintains consistent, sustained high-performance data transfer - a key component of any storage system dedicated to post production applications.

The streamlined web-based user interface simplifies the storage configuration process and allows customers to quickly accesses total available capacity, the status of individual hard drives or SSD's, and the health of RAID and JBOD configurations. Optional auto rebuild and hot spare features add additional layers of data security to redundant RAID 5 and 6 configurations.

Administrators can designate unused drives to automatically take the place of failed units or configure the RocketRAID 4500 HBA to immediately initialize rebuild process by simply plugging in a new drive. Advanced management features allow customers to manage storage remotely via an internet connection or local network, and configure Email notification to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment. In addition, optional CLI packages are available for Linux and FreeBSD platforms.

The RocketU 1144F is the industry's fastest 4-Port 5Gb/s USB controller card and is powered by our proven per-port-performance architecture. Each of the four independent USB 3.2 5Gb/s device ports features a dedicated 5Gb/s controller, and is backed by a PCIe 3.0 x4 host interface. The RocketU 1144F is optimized for USB 3.x storage devices and peripherals, and is well suited for a wide-range of applications including portable/removable storage, storage expansion, personal media libraries and backup solutions.

Direct Replacement & Performance Upgrade: Although the RocketU 1144F is a direct upgrade for the RocketU 1144D USB 3.0 PCIe 2.0 x4 HBA, it doubles the available PCIe bandwidth to USB 3.0 x4. This is ideal for applications that require support for up to four SATA SSDs via a USB 3.1/3.2 drive enclosure; each SSD will be able to operate at full speed, simultaneously.

UAS (USB Attached SCSI) is a computer protocol that is used to transfer data to and from USB storage devices. UAS is dependent on the USB protocol, and utilizes the standard SCSI command set.

Unlike the slower queue system of BOT (Bulk Only Transport), which only provides single-task commands; each task must complete before the next begins, UAS offers maximized bandwidth utilization, and can handle multiple data transfer requests simultaneously.
