The EZ Slide Mini trays supports U.2 hot-swap feature, which makes U.2 NVMe SSD interchangeability and maintenance completely hassle-free. With a simple swap of the SSD / HDD, your overall down time is greatly reduced especially when a drive is needed to be switched. The tray is also designed to accommodate 7 to 15mm height hard drives and SSD, creating a 2.5" hot swap bay for U.2 NVMe SSD or any standard SAS / SATA hard drives and SSDs. While the tray is not inside the MB601VK-B, the Anti-Dust Flap feature helps prevent dust from entering into the mobile rack.

The front of the MB601VK-B includes a status LED when the drive is powered on, off and accessed. Active Power Technology (APT) allows the status LED to be on only when a hard drive is inserted into the enclosure. For drive security, the eagle-hook lock system on the tray makes sure your hard drives will not eject when not needed. Additionally, the 2 segment key lock provides extra protection to theft of hard drives as well as safeguards any sensitive data.

Utilize the Standard 5.25" Bay

Bringing high density 2.5" storage array into a desktop computer system, ICY DOCK's ExpressCage MB326SP-B turns any standard external 5.25" bay into a hot-swappable drive enclosure cage and fits up to 6 x 2.5" SAS / SATA HDD/SSD between 5mm to 9.5mm in height. The MB326SP-B supports SATA III 6Gbps and is backward compatible with SATA II and SATA I drives. In addition, our active power feature keeps your enclosure powered down until a drive is inserted minimizing energy usage.

Innovative ExpressTray Design

The magic of our ExpressTray simplifies the drive installation process, offering a more flexible, hassle-free drive installation and maintenance. To install a new drive, just place the hard drives or SSDs on the ExpressTray and then insert the tray into the ExpressCage and you are ready to go. To remove drive, you simply need to reverse the process. Pull on the rear tab of the tray to free up the drive and then remove the drive. Our reinforced latching system located on the ExpressTray is made extremely durable so you won't have issues with them further down the road.

Furthermore, for applications where require extra drive stability and security, an optional bottom tray screw holes are provided for added drive protection. Ventilated slots in front of and beneath the tray help keep airflow extremely efficient to keep your drives icy cool.

Features upon Features

Through careful planning and design, we've incorporated the most desired features into our ExpressCage MB326SP-B.

Dual 40mm cooling fans located rear of the unit keeps your drives cool by ventilating all 6 drives and dissipating heat through air vents surrounding the unit. Control the amount of air flow with included fan speed slide switch. Set the fan to HIGH for maximum airflow, LOW for whisper quiet operations, or AUTO for smart cooling (determines the temperature of the drive and changes the fan's RPM accordingly to keep your drives cool).

If the preinstalled fans are not your preferred choice, we've made it easily upgradable with any standard 40mm fan with 3pin header. Choose your favorite aftermarket fan and install it into our ExpressCage MB326SP-B with no effort at all.

Additionally, each bay has its own indicator light to notify you of any hard drive activity. Soft-blue LEDs makes it easier to sense when the drives are in use without straining your eyes. Locking latch support for both 7pin SATA and 15pin power connectors secures your connection so they'll never slip out of place. (Requires cable with supporting locking latch features as well)

To fully use the speeds of NVMe SSDs, each drive bay uses its own miniSAS HD (SFF-8643) connector, maximizing NVMe U.2 SSD 's potential transfer bandwidth rate of 32Gb/s.

The MB699VP-B features hot-swappable EZ slide trays found throughout the ToughArmor series, allowing for easy swaps of U.2 drives and utilizing the hot-swapping function that U.2 SSD natively supports.

For extra protection, the EZ-slide trays are fully constructed with metal provided maximum protection to your valuable SSD inside and outside of the unit.

Not just the EZ-slide trays are made out of durable metals, the entire unit is also full metal construction, ensuring that the drives are safe and secure while inside the unit.

To bring more utility to your hard drives and SSDs, a LED is installed into the front of the mobile rack to provide drive status information at all time when the drive is powered on, off and accessed.

Active Power Technology (APT) allows each LED and the cooling fan to be active only when a hard drive is inserted into the enclosure. When the unit does power up, two 40mm cooling fan placed strategically behind the rear panel provide airflow throughout the entire cage cooling all 4 bays effectively and efficiently.

With two ball-bearing fans attached and three fan speed settings: high, low and off, depending on the drive usage, user can manually select the proper cooling option accordingly.

Never forget which drives belong in what bays. With our individual drive ID labels you'll always know which drive tray belongs in your RAID array or which drive contains certain files. Freely unplug and rearrange them to better suit your configuration or simply remove them for a more simplified look.

The ToughArmor MB699VP-B supports 15pin SATA power cables with locking latches so you'll never need to worry about cables unintentionally disconnecting from your enclosure. Once these cables are connected, they'll lock into place and stay that way
