This NPT adapter easily adapts to a 1.5" NPT threaded fitting to a 1" NPT threaded column.

The Chief threaded pipe coupler attaches two separate 1 1/2" NPT threaded columns together for added length and the slot in coupler allows cable access. 3 3/4" height added to installation. Two set screws are included for security and stability.
